Cherokee Presbyterian Church Children’s Ministry

Sunday School 

The Children’s Ministry at Cherokee Presbyterian Church includes Sunday morning Sunday School after the Children’s Sermon during worship. We want the children to learn to Connect, Grow and Serve like their parents. We have a fun time listening to Bible stories, playing games, and participating in an activity. Sunday School is available for Preschool through 5th grade.  Children will begin worship with their family and are invited to leave for Sunday School about 20 minutes into the service.

Worship Nursery 

We provide a nursery for infants and toddlers during worship.  Our staff and volunteers are devoted to caring for your young children, so you can enjoy and be nourished in worship.  We firmly believe that no one stands so tall as when they stoop to care for a child.

Family Friendly Events

We hold various events throughout the year to provide families a fun and no cost way to be together.  We usually have a back to school carnival and an Easter Egg hunt.  We hold the events for the entire community.

Communion Preparation

We hold training for children and their family on the meaning and purpose of the Lord's Supper.

Team 'Tweens

This group is for kid's in the 4th and 5th grade. They meets Sunday evenings from 4 - 5:30 p.m. for fellowship, study & worship.  These children are in the “in-between” stage of youth and this group helps to guide them into the next stage of their life with Jesus Christ.   They are introduced to local mission and

Kids' Club

We also have Kids’ Club activities on Sunday evenings from 4:00 to 5:30 pm. Kids’ Club lets children from 4 years old through 3rd grade years old to have fun together in a safe and caring environment. As they enjoy their time in Kids’ Club, we hope they will know God’s love through the adults who care for them and through learning God’s Word. Each week the children will have a great time as they play games, sing songs and learn about the Bible. A light snack is provided each week.
